The Joy of Harmony Workshop 
With Imogen Wolf and Brian Martin
in BANGALOW, NSW

 

Experience the joy and freedom of creating your own harmonies through the exciting sounds of A Cappella music.  

In this workshop you'll learn about how harmonies work, and gain the confidence to create your own.  
Using simple, fun exercises which provide a solid framework within which to play, you'll be jamming with the voice naturally and joyfully, and hearing the sounds of the harmonies you love in a whole new way.

Brian and Imogen are a dynamic team able to tap into the creative juices of the singers they work with, creating a relaxed and fun atmosphere in which to explore the voice.  Enjoy singing with the group in wonderful harmonies from around the world, including gospel, folk and the rhythm and sounds of Africa. (3 hours duration)

The Joy of Voice Training Workshop 
IN LISMORE, NSW

With Imogen Wolf and Brian Martin

 

Learn how to develop and support your voice in this exciting and informative workshop.

Spend a day with two highly trained and experienced vocal coaches learning:

          •  how the voice works

          •  voice care and maintenance

          •  breath control

          •  power and projection

          •  vocal qualities and tone colours

          •  how to develop your range

          •  how to increase your strength, flexibility and control

Come and spend the day with other lovers of singing in a fun, relaxed and easy atmosphere learning about the most powerful and beautiful musical instrument of all - the human voice!

Imogen Wolf is a vocal coach, choral director, passionate singer/songwriter and committed educator.  The Head of Music at the Northern Rivers Conservatorium Arts Centre in Lismore, NSW, she has designed and run the vocal program there for 9 years.  A lover of singing and harmony, she is an inspiring and spirited facilitator, running workshops on the east and west coasts of Australia and internationally.

Brian will be back in Oz for a short time and due to many requests, is offering this 
'5 Day Live in intensive' workshop while on the Sunshine Coast and before he returns to Japan!

Come and join him at the beautiful ‘Gayatri Retreat’ situated in the picturesque Sunshine Coast hinterland surrounded by natural rain forest near Cedar Pocket Dam.

Who can attend the Harmony Leader Training Workshop?

Ideal for teachers, choirmasters, group facilitators and those who find themselves teaching others in any musical capacity or who wish to! This workshop is a must for you to hone your skills or learn more about creating harmony in your community. So whether you are a seasoned conductor or a enthusiastic beginner this workshop will support whatever level you are at and is loads of fun too !! 
The only pre-requisite is that you can hold your own part. 

When: 4pm Tuesday 20th April – 4pm Sunday 25th April 2010 
 
Workshop times: 9.00am – 8.30pm each day
